Fluorescent Applications in Biotechnology and Life Sciences (FABLS) is an ARC/NHMRC network dedicated to inspire and coordinate multi-disciplinary research into applications of fluorescence which require a hig degree of interaction of expertise in biology, physics, chemistry, bioengineering and medicine.

To facilitate transfer of scientific approaches, technologies and applications to resolve industrially and medically relevant problems in areas such as public health, food processing and safety, and environmental monitoring.
